What’s on at Digital City Festival? The Candidate Itinerary!

The Candidate are delighted to be part of this year’s Digital City Festival - we are looking forward to attending a range of exciting events across this action packed week! We’ve detailed all the events below to give you a handy guide for the festival and let you know where you can find us.

The best place to find us will be on the 9^th and 10^th of March at the Digital City Expo in Manchester Central Convention Centre! We’ll be at stand 230 - come and chat to us about finding you the best talent on the market (there’s even some freebies in it for you!). You’ll be able to spot our team around the expo handing out drink tokens and networking with the exhibitors and visitors.

MONDAY 7^TH MARCH:

09:00 – OPENING CEREMONY - MEDIA CITY: The festival begins with an official opening ceremony in Media City – we can’t wait for the week ahead!

10:30 – CYBER SUMMIT – MEDIA CITY: Our Tech & IT Recruitment Consultant Phil will be attending the Cyber Summit to keep up to date with all things cyber security.

15:00 - METAVERSE SHOWCASE & NETWORKING EVENT – ONLINE

18:00 – MOBILE FIRST TRANSFORMATION PANEL – OXFORD ROAD

18:30 – SOCIALNORTH - STOLLER HALL: Our Marketing Recruitment Consultants will be attending the SocialNorth event to hear great speakers such as Hannah Anderson, Ash Jones and Nana Crawford (and have some drinks and canapes of course!)

TUESDAY 8^TH MARCH:

09:00 - COLLABORATING TO GET GM RESIDENTS ONLINE - SOAPWORKS

12:30 – BUILDING MANCHESTER’S FUTURE DIGITAL WORKFORCE - BEEHIVE MILL: Our first event of the day will be ‘building Manchester’s future digital workforce’ – we can’t wait to hear how our region will benefit from the tech talent pipeline!

14:00 - HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE TO WIN MORE SALES ONLINE - ONLINE

17:30 – INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY PANEL EVENT - INFINITY WORKS: We are passionate about equality and diversity, so of course we will be attending the International Women’s Day Panel Event to hear some inspiring speakers discuss breaking the bias and creating an equal opportunities environment.

18:00 - DIGITAL CITY LEADERS' RECEPTION

19:00 – BRIGHTER SOUND MANIFESTO LAUNCH // ALL THINGS EQUAL - MAYFIELD DEPOT: Tuesday finishes with an exciting audiovisual installation at Mayfield Depot! To celebrate International Women’s Day, Brighter Sound and Submerge will host an immersive experience featuring a range of artists, DJs, and performers. We can’t wait for this one!

WEDNESDAY 9^TH MARCH

08:30 - THE NEW LEADER, THE NEW INSIGHTS; DECISIONS BASED ON FACTS NOT FEELINGS - ASHA'S MANCHESTER

09:00 – DIGITAL CITY EXPO DAY 1 - MANCHESTER CENTRAL

Find us on stand 230 at Manchester Central Convention Complex! You’ll also catch us at loads of the great discussions taking place that day, which include:

10:00 – CAREERS ZONE DAY 1– MANCHESTER CENTRAL

17:00 - INTRO TO ART, AUGMENTED REALITY (AR) AND NFTS – MANCHESTER CENTRAL LIBRARY

17:00 - DIGITAL CITY EXPO EXHIBITORS' DRINKS RECEPTION: Finally, we’re looking forward to rounding off the day by networking and socialising at the exhibitors drinks reception – cheers!

THURSDAY 10^TH MARCH

09:00 – DIGITAL CITY EXPO DAY 2 - MANCHESTER CENTRAL:

Come and see us at stand 230 for a chat! The sessions this day include:

10:00 – CAREERS ZONE DAY 2 – MANCHESTER CENTRAL

18:45 – DIGITAL CITY AWARDS - ETIHAD STADIUM: There will also be an awards ceremony taking place to celebrate the organisations, teams and individuals who are helping to build a better future through technology.

FRIDAY 11^TH MARCH

08:30 - REFRAME WOMEN IN TECH CONFERENCE 2022 – OLD TRAFFORD CRICKET CLUB

09:00 - AMAFESTUK - AMAZON SELLERS CONFERENCE – MANCHESTER CONFERENCE CENTRE

09:00 – ESPORTS FESTIVAL - MEDIACITY: This all day event explores the world of esports with some exciting discussions, networking opportunities, and career opportunities in the sector. We can’t wait to finish an incredible week with this event!
