What is your experience and how has it led you to The Candidate?
I have been lucky to be able to use my skills in all the roles I have had since graduating. I discovered early in my career that I enjoy meeting people and building strong relationships. So, in my first role in the public sector I had responsibilities including researching new clients and nurturing relationships with long established clients, this led me nicely into recruitment. While in recruitment, I have worked with a breadth of clients, start-ups, SMEs and multiple enterprise accounts. With all my clients, I advise them on their forecasting; resourcing and providing an overall consultative approach. I feel that I have been most successful in gaining trust through being transparent and this is something that The Candidate are good it and one of the reasons they have been so successful.
Throughout my years in recruitment, I have covered the length and breadth of the UK. On occasion, I have advised clients on their strategy of recruitment and shaped the process to ensure both client and candidate have the best experience possible. This is very much something that
I was attracted to the BD role at The Candidate as I can see that they have a wealth of great clients and have built a strong reputation in the market. I am excited to expand and understand my network.
What is your new role at The Candidate and what will you be working on?
My position at The Candidate is Business Development Manager. I will be taking a holistic approach to the business to identify changes in the market; keeping a close eye on business trends, i.e. which recruitment solution businesses are using, for example permanent or contracting employees. Alongside this, I will be working with and supporting all consultants, covering all our specialisms. This role enables me to have a high-level overview of all areas, of digital marketing and analytics. By taking this approach, regardless of the clients’ business requirements or project resource needs I’m a single point of contact with trusted knowledge of digital marketing recruitment.
While working in partnership with the consultants, I will be working on research within the sectors, attending sector specific business events and developing and maintaining relationships with clients. I have real passion for women in business and I am excited by existing collaborations, such as the ladies network Bloom North and other exciting events in the North West Area.
