With a wealth of experience across the telecommunications and financial industries, he has secured the position of Senior Web Analyst at ThinkMoney Group. Most important was working within a physical team again given my previous role was working from home.
What were you looking for in a new role?
The key aspect was to take on a role in which I could become something bigger and work towards my professional career goals in which this job offered just that.
What interests you most about the analytics industry?
The analytics industry is probably one of the most dynamic out there in terms of the web, there is always something new to investigate or implement which only adds further value to an analyst’s role within a business.
What type of person excels in this type of role?
Someone who is hungry to support, teach and communicate with others, it’s imperative that a day-to-day analyst has excellent communication skills otherwise there is no real mechanism to share your findings with the stakeholders who can take action.
What is the best preparation you have had for this role?
Experience, understanding all web metrics, and if you’re ever stuck there are many forums / YouTube links which can help you find your way.
What are the highlights of your job?
Enabling others to do their job with relevant insight, which leads to better actions.
What are the challenges of your role?
The role can get technical at times, but it’s important to invest in your analytics integration, as it will provide you with better data insights over time.
