There’s no doubt it’s a testing time for us all now, but brands are doing their bit to spread positivity and cheer amongst our community. Whether it’s allowing key workers to travel for free or even just posting a funny meme online, most brands are doing what they can to put a smile on our faces.

Anyone who is a fan of craft ales will be no stranger to Cloudwater Brew Co. They are offering all key workers including NHS staff; police force; those working in educational institutions and within the government, a generous 25% off beer purchased from their website. They are also offering 25% off and free delivery on online orders for NHS, Police and Fire Services workers.

United We Stream

Parklife’s Co-Founder, Sacha Lord, has co-ordinated the launch of United We Stream here in Manchester. After many live music events and festivals have been cancelled or postponed, this gives Manchester based artists the chance to perform via the live streaming service.

First aired on Monday night, the service is set to stream from 7pm each evening and will contain a selection of live DJ sets, poetry and comedy acts. Whilst the service is free, there is the option for donations which will enter a relief fund. This will be donated to help tackle homelessness within Greater Manchester; to Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy Charity, who provide therapy to people with disabilities and life limiting illnesses; and to support the night time economy within Greater Manchester such as bars, restaurants and music venues who are unable to continue business as usual.

Ever been to the weird and wonderful Bongo’s Bingo which has you dancing on the tables and finding yourself taking part in dance-offs to win prizes? Despite their shows being postponed, this hasn’t stopped the fun as you can tune in on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays to play along from the comfort of your own home.

Uber are doing their bit to provide 200,000 free trips and 100,000 meals as a thank you to our NHS staff. Staff have the choice of a hot meal or necessities from a shop delivered to their door.
