According to Dan, he explains that CRM is ‘managing the customer experience and engagement for the benefit of both the customer and the business’.

The value that it adds to the business is that it allows marketing communication to be ‘personalised, timely and relevant’. It also is more efficient in both production and delivery and achieves a better Return on Investment.

The stand out qualities of a good CRM Executive are:

Dan says that in an interview he looks for a positive and approachable attitude as well as someone that has their own professional development goals.

For him, red lights are people who aren’t able to adapt to change due to the constant development of Martech and new software. He also says ‘Finally a lack of emotional intelligence and empathy and a lack of digital and analytical experience would be a problem when recruiting for this role.’
