Our Marketing Operations Recruitment Department which deals with all roles across the agency under £40k succeeded in placing 75% of all briefed roles from January. Traditionally our busiest month of the year for jobs, we took job briefs from a range of brand-new clients as well as our existing clients in multiple sectors.
The most popular roles we were briefed on were Paid Media & Paid Search which accounted for over 25% of the total, with SEO and CRM roles also contributing to a significant amount of the volume. This January we’ve seen a significant rise in briefs for Analytics roles such as Web Analysts and Insight Analysts. The launch of our Contracting Department also attracted new types of roles, from both the marketing and tech industry.
Such is the fast turnaround of roles within this department, the roles were filled with an average of 2.5 interviews per role and most were filled within 3.5 weeks of being briefed. With a team of 10 people focussing on roles at this level, they have been able to collectively search their combined networks of over 40,000 candidates for the perfect fit. Also, bespoke marketing campaigns, extensive social media presence and access to ‘Recruiter’ level LinkedIn accounts, gave the team the edge in the month.
Our candidates have been busy adding their Google Reviews to our online business listing, underlining the great job that the team has done. At the time of writing, there were 210 Google Reviews with an average score of 4.9/5 which is the highest amount of reviews in our sector in the region. Search ‘The Candidate Recruitment Agency’ to view for yourself.

Of the remaining 25% of roles that were not placed, half were filled directly by the client and the remaining are either still in process or we were unsuccessful at filling. We’ll give an update in future blogs on the performance of our February roles which are currently being worked on by our team.
Sophie Parkin, Marketing Operations Lead
Marketing Operations Lead, Sophie Parkin comments. ‘This has been the most varied quarter in terms of the industries we have been briefed on. I am really proud of how the team have been working together to match our individual talent with the roles. I am not surprised with the ratios of 3 out of 4, this has been an extremely busy but rewarding start to the year and I am excited about what we have coming up. ‘
