Known as a ‘technical artist,’ a Motion Designer will work on film, TV and video creative where graphics are required to appear on screen and complement filming or dominate visuals for viewers to consume. This is a very technical role where they will work in studio conditions to painstakingly ensure that the colours, style and effects are all right for the production and it has the desired effect. Usually experience within Photoshop, Illustrator or After Effects would produce the relevant VFX aftereffects required for the production.
