Laura is a true professional. She strikes the perfect balance of supporting and challenging you at the same time. Having experienced Executive Search headhunters previously, what really makes Laura stand out is that she genuinely cares for her candidate, the role and the business she is working on behalf on. This seems like a simple point, but her authenticity and passion shines through at every step. I would wholeheartedly recommend Laura to anyone looking for or being approached by her for a new role.
FMCG Recruitment
Trust us to find the ideal candidates for your FMCG needs, ensuring your products reach the right markets efficiently.
What is the FMCG industry?
The Fast Moving Consumer Good Industry is one which focusses on high volume sales for low to medium value products. The product ranges include Health and Beauty, essential products for the house like cleaning fluids, lots of food and drink goods including breakfast cereals and also some medication like paracetamol. This is an industry which is defined by brand, branded alternatives or attractive price points. Organisations tend to be large B2C companies which specialise in multiple brands under its umbrella who are experts in supplying supermarkets, with more D2C activitiy, to sell large volumes of products. There are high barriers to entry for new FMCG products, with very high upfront break through costs, but high rewards for successful market penetration.
How does the FMCG work with recruitment agencies like ours?
In a role that revolves around maximising brand value, gaining consumer confidence and selling large volumes of products, job roles are well defined and focus more on planning and research than risk taking or poorly thought-out product launches. There is a growing trend of sales shifting to eCommerce and direct to consumer which is driving a different type of hire including web developers, data scientists, marketers and analysts for the product launches and multi-channel targeting. Digital transformation within FMCG is playing a larger role as products switch strategy and specialist recruitment agencies can locate the main hires, with the right experience and the potential to build out structured teams. Clients and agencies will work together on sustainability goals, supply chain awareness and environmental challenges.
Why does the FMCG industry work with The Candidate?
Our candidate recruitment strategy will assess experience, skills and importantly the suitability to employers’ business values and policies. Our FMCG sourcing includes these as standard as well as a full cultural fit assessment. We’ll take a fully detailed brief to ensure a thorough understanding of the team and its approach to ensure each stage of the interview allows for suitability checks. We’ll also include DE&I considerations for fairness as standard when recruiting for corporate businesses like any other. Due to the skills shortage for certain roles within the sector, we’ll look into other relevant sectors for similar skillsets to consider talent for harder to place roles. We’ve had significant success in this area and fantastic reviews and referrals.
